October 26th, 2021 Virtual Meeting – Tell the User’s Story Via Effective Research Reports

Tell the User’s Story Via Effective Research Reports

A researcher’s role is not just to learn about users, but to help their team learn about users. How do we do that? There is a growing trend of involving teams in conducting research so they hear the rich detail directly from participants. However, not all organizations have the desire or resources to do that.

Many teams expect “reports” from researchers. How do we take the package up all the complexities of research into a report? How do we translate the mis-clicks, hesitations, confused questions, vocal intonations and uttered cuss words into a slide deck or word document?

Susan will share her perspectives on how to structure research reports to capture this information and communicate it clearly. She’ll share her recipe for sequencing findings to tell a compelling story and leave the audience with actionable recommendations. She’ll also discuss visualization techniques, effective use of slide formats, and alternative report formats.
